We have all complained about PubSub and the accuracy of our
beloved PR List, but yesterday Mike Arrington of Tech Crunch reported that there were massive layoffs at the company.
He also said that a shutdown was imminent, but yesterday in its own blog PubSub posted an announcement that it would be partnering with BurrellsLuce to provide blog search capability.
Moreover, it was posted by J. Mandell instead of Steven Cohen, our faithful PubSub rep who listened as we vetched.
I can only read into the comment that Steven left on the Tech Crunch post that he was one of those employees let go.
If so, I just want to say that it is the loss of PubSub since Steven has been an excellent representative for PubSub, even in the face of inaction by the management.
Also, the expression by others in the Tech crunch post that he is highly employable is very accurate, so someone should snap him up quick.
In the meanwhile, Steven is busy with real life. He and his wife just had a new baby boy, named Ari, on June 2.
Good luck Steven and let us know where you land.
As for the PR Pub Sub List, I have no idea what happens next. Any ideas Constantin?
(For those that don't know Constantin, he is the volunteer editor of the PubSub list)
Stay tuned…
