There are a couple of great resources I ran across today that I thought I would share.
First, is there is yet another e-book about Social Media 101. While this one is pretty basic, it clearly covers the bases of blogs, podcasts, wikis, social networking, content communities and even a section on Second Life. I think it is a great tool to those new to the concepts of Social Media.
It was written by the UK content optimization firm Spannerworks. Content optimization, which helps those using search engines find your content, is a skill that public relations should bring to its offerings.
But I digress.
I also signed up for an interesting teleseminar offered by Cymphony on Tuesday October 3, 1:00 – 2:00 EST. It is a free seminar about the “ROI of Blogging,” and you get a free copy of a paper written on the topic by Charlene Li, analyst for Forrester.
There was a little brewhaha earlier this year when Debbie Weil reported that Charlene Li said her blog had generated $1 million in business for Forrester. Charlene later took the statement back, saying that it was highly subjective.
I signed up for the event because I am interested in where Charlene is going to take it from there.
