Before the ToddAnd's Power 150, the marketing and public relations set used now defunct PubSub to gauge their rank.
Last year, I was perusing that list and noted that there were very few women in the top ranks of public relations and marketing bloggers.
At that time I found that only 12 percent of the top 50 PR bloggers were women. Recently, I wondered if that were still the case. It turns out that only 13 percent of the Power 150 Top Marketing Blogs are women. I only included blogs that were authored by one women, not group blogs.
It has always surprised me that so few are in the top ranks since everyone knows that the public relations profession is primarily dominated by women. So, in the hopes of amplifying their voices a bit, I give you the Top 20 PowerWomen of PR and Marketing:
#12 | What's Next Blog | #105 | The Copywriting Maven | |

STOP THE PRESSES
Coincidentally, as I was writing this post, I got an e-mail from ToddAnd letting me know that the Power 150 was entering into a partnership with Advertising Age. There will be more details on this in a few hours in a post on Todd's site with quotes from Ad Age Editor Jonah Bloom. Congratulations to Todd on the success of the Power 150 index, it is a great service to the community. I look forward to see what Ad Age will do with it.
