I think that Scrapblog is a great tool for sharing photos and other events. It allows them to be shared virally and can be used for both personal and professional purposes. Think about sharing pictures from a charitable event or as an internal communication tool to share those company picnic photos. I had been looking for an opportunity to play around with it, and couldn't think of a better reason than the arrival of my second child earlier this week. It also explains why blogging has been a little light this week and probably next. I am sure you will understand. And, here is the Mom with read more...
Fun Friday: Audience Ratings for Blogs
How low can you go? Clearly, not too low here since Communication Overtones is Rated G. It may be no fun, but it doesn't surprise me. Those who read this blog, and comment here, know I don't allow language that steps beyond a G rating. I wondered if the overall Rating of blogs had anything to do with Ranking, with the thought that controversy and spicy language might boost rankings. - LiveJournal

Cool Tools: Trying Out Microsoft LiveWriter Beta 2
Well, I hate to admit that I am antiquated, but it is true. I want to use an offline editing system, but I tend to hate them. Also, because I use Flickr images so often, none of these systems are really set up for that. However, I am interested in using one, so here I am again, testing the new Microsoft LiveWriter Beta 2. I had, and tested, Beta 1, but I hit a snag and went back to my tried and true method of writing the post in Word, pasting into notebook, and then into my Blogger interface. In know, that is so stone age. Blogger recently made it easier by finally read more...
Cool Tools: Google Analytics Get a Makeover
Google Analytics has been my stats package of choice for some time now for both this blog and those of my clients since its launch in 2005. It got a slow start because it couldn’t handle the influx of demand at first, but now it is available to anyone. Best of all, the package is free. Of course, their interest is getting you to apply Adwords to your page, but you don’t have to do that, and if you do, this tool makes it easy to track the read more...
