Television journalists and photojournalists are uploading their customary resume tapes to YouTube and sending out a short pitch and a link to get the attention of hiring managers. And it seems the managers like this much better than getting a physical tape. It turns out that it is much easier to share the work of the prospective hire with others around the station.
The same goes for B-Roll and VNRs for the public relations set. Let’s get with it folks, the DVD and tape are so 1990s!
