More evidence that the mainstream media is repositioning itself to take advantage of new technology is the AOL News relaunch this week into a blog format.
With the popularity of its TMZ gossip blog and its Fanhouse blog, the conglomerate figured, “Why not go for the whole enchilada?”
Problem is that the news “blog” just is formatted like a blog, with some social media tools such as bookmarks, a mechanism to vote up or down on the article and a way to share the story via e-mail or instant message.
It doesn't have commenting or show articles that link back to it, unlike AOL's other blogs.
