The Social Media Breakfast of Houston has entered into a partnership with Houston Media Source, a non-profit organization that provides public access cable television programming to Houston. I have had a soft spot for public access television since college when we used the Fairfax Virginia public access television station to learn our way around a television studio in my studies at George Mason University.
We were fortunate to have HMS come out to the February breakfast with Robert Hall, a noted author, consultant, and speaker on relationships. His latest book, This Land of Strangers addresses society’s breathtaking relationship collapse. You can read about the content of the event below.
How Social Media Can Ruin Your Business Relationships
Thanks to social media our ability to communicate has never been better, yet the state of our relationships have never been worse. In his book, “This Land of Strangers: The Relationship Crisis That Imperils Home, Work, Politics and Faith,” Robert Hall makes the case that by every measure relationships have deteriorated. It is fitting that we welcome Robert and his ideas to the Social Media Breakfast on Valentine’s Day – the very day invented to celebrate relationships. Our focus on distant online relationships, both personal and business, can negatively impact our success. But never fear, Robert has a three-point plan to revalue and reclaim relationships that you won’t want to miss hearing about. Join us as he presents compelling research, gritty stories and personal experiences to lay out the cost, cause, and cure for unraveling relational.
The program will livestream this week, allowing those that didn’t attend in Houston, and those that aren’t in Houston, to get Robert’s valuable insights.
