ZoeticaTalks, written by our CEO Kami Huyse, is a place to teach and be taught. From the start in November of 2005, under the original name of Communication Overtones, our blog has been a place to learn and share. We mostly write about digital strategy, social media measurement, social networks, how to articles and case studies, productivity and marketing tools, influencer outreach, online crisis, and digital civility.
But don't strictly hold us to that. We are likely to go off road from time to time.
If you are interested in corporate communication, nonprofit public relations, digital marketing, or public relations of any kind, we think you will find this blog useful. And it will be even more interesting if you participate. Comments are the place where ideas are refined, and knowledge is shared and transferred. We like to think that we learn as much from you as you do from us.
We are okay with spirited debate, but we are not okay with bad behavior. Just like your Mom, we don't allow name calling or bashing others. Feel free to disagree with any idea or approach, but if you attack individual people and say hateful things, you are out of here. Shel Israel calls it a “living room policy,” and we subscribe to that. This blog is our home and you are welcome as our valued guest as long as you are respectful.
We don't often use guest posts on our blog, and never unsolicited posts or posts that have appeared elsewhere. If you have an idea, let us know, but don't be offended if we say no at first. If you want to pitch us on an idea for a brand that you represent, please do, but make sure it fits our editorial focus (see paragraph #1). If it doesn't, we aren't likely to respond to it.
