According to Dave Sifry at Technorati, we have gone from drinking from a fire hose to gulping from a waterfall. In his State of the Blogosphere post he reports that every hour there are 50,000 posts. There are 27.2 million blogs and 13.7 that are still posting after three months. That makes our little 374 PR blogs look miniscule by comparison.
However, he does mention that the blogoshere nearly doubles every five months, giving more data to those of you who didn’t make a guess about how many PR blogs would be online in the PubSub List by the end of 2006. This means that there will be an effort by companies to come up with products that help make sense of this volume. Right now, we all have a cup that we dip into the water, but we miss a great deal of the information. Somewhat related, I will post shortly about the release of coComment over the weeked,
